Academic tuition
Online tuition — maths, science, English, to your child’s own syllabus
Live tuition in batches of two to four, taught to the syllabus your child is actually graded on — CBSE, ICSE, IGCSE or a state board. The same teacher each week, who knows which topic went wrong last time, and who tells you about it before the report card does.
Two problems this solves at once
The first is ordinary: a child is behind, or coasting, in maths or science, and a class of thirty cannot slow down for one and cannot stretch another. A batch of two to four can do both.
The second is particular to families abroad. A child studying an Indian syllabus outside India, or expecting to move back, often has nobody near them who teaches it. We do — and we also teach the child going the other way, who has to sit an IGCSE or a local curriculum having started in CBSE. One of our parents in Kerala put it plainly: the crash courses are what let her children move into Indian school after Germany without losing a year.
In order
What we teach, and how
-
Maths
Arithmetic to algebra, geometry and trigonometry, worked at the board rather than explained at. The child does the problem; the teacher watches where it goes wrong.
-
Science
Physics, chemistry and biology to the syllabus, with the diagram labelled correctly and the test practised, because that is what is marked.
-
English
Reading comprehension, grammar, composition and speaking aloud — including for children whose school is not in English.
-
Social studies
History, geography and civics, taught as what people built and what they owed each other rather than as a list of dates.
-
To your board, not ours
CBSE, ICSE, IGCSE or a state board. Tell us which, and bring the school's own textbook; we teach to the paper your child will actually sit.
-
Examination terms and transitions
Short, intensive courses before an examination, and for children changing country or curriculum mid-schooling.
Every subject, same promises
What a class is like, whichever subject it is
Two to four children
Small enough that nobody waits their turn to be noticed, and that a teacher can slow down for one child without holding back another. One to one where that is right.
Taught in English
With Malayalam, Arabic, Hindi or Urdu where a child is more comfortable. You can speak to us in any of them.
The same teacher each week
Who remembers what your child found hard last time, which is the entire point of a small batch.
Around your week
Class times built around school, work and your time zone — wherever in the world that is.
You are told what happened
A note on what was covered, periodic written reviews, and the recording if a class was missed. Built from what the platform recorded, not from memory.
The trial is free
And registering commits you to nothing. We agree the fee with you after the trial, once we know the subject, the batch and how often.
Before you book
Questions parents ask about this subject
Which boards and curricula do you teach?
CBSE, ICSE and IGCSE most often, and state boards on request. If your child follows a national curriculum we do not list — the German Gymnasium syllabus, the English national curriculum, a US state's standards — tell us on the trial call and we will say honestly whether we have a teacher for it rather than take the booking and hope.
Do you guarantee better grades?
No, and treat anyone who does with suspicion. We will tell you where your child is, what the gap is, and what it will take — and then report every term on whether it is closing.
Can tuition and the Qur'an classes be on one timetable?
That is the main reason families use us for both. One timetable, one set of teachers, one set of updates — so the two never compete for the same evening, which is the usual reason one of them gets dropped.
Can you prepare my child to move back to India?
Yes, and it is something we are asked for often. We teach the Indian syllabus they will be dropped into, concentrate on the gap between it and what they have been doing, and pace it to the date of the move.
Do you set homework?
Yes, in the same place the lesson happened, and the platform records what was done. Several parents have asked us for more of it, which is the only direction that request ever comes in.
