Where we teach
Online classes for children in the United Kingdom
Qur’an and Arabic, maths and science, Malayalam, abacus and character — taught live in batches of two to four, in English, by a teacher who sees your child every week. Built around a family’s week in the United Kingdom.
What families in the United Kingdom come to us for
The usual British problem is the Saturday clash: supplementary school lands on the one morning a child has football, a birthday party or a GCSE revision class. Teaching online on a weekday evening removes the clash entirely, and in a batch of two to four your child is not sitting at the back of a hall. We teach the national curriculum and IGCSE alongside Qur’an and Arabic, and everything is explained in English.

In their own words

Bustan is a professional and a very reliable online madrasa. I am quite happy and satisfied with teaching methods that Bustan follows. The best part is your feedback is well heard and taken seriously by the administration. Zahir Abdul Basith, London
Before you book
Questions parents in the United Kingdom ask
Will the class time actually work for us?
Classes for families in the United Kingdom usually run 4.30pm to 8pm UK time, and weekend mornings. We fix the slot with you on the trial call around school, work and your own evening — not around ours — and we move it when a school examination week arrives rather than letting the term lapse.
Which language will my child be taught in?
English. Tajwid, meaning and adab are explained in the same language as mathematics and science, so that a lesson is understood rather than simply followed. Where a child is more comfortable in Malayalam, Arabic, Hindi or Urdu we teach them in that instead, and we correspond with you in whichever you prefer.
What does it cost, and what do we pay to start?
Nothing to register and nothing for the trial class. We agree the fee with you after the trial, once we know the subjects, the batch size and how often your child will attend, because those are what it depends on.
How big is a class?
Two to four children, or one to one where that is the right arrangement. Small enough that every child reads aloud and answers out loud every time.
Is Bustan an online madrasa for families in UK?
If you mean live Qur'an, Tajwid, Hifz and Islamic studies with qualified teachers, that is exactly what we do and some of our parents describe us that way. But the same children also take maths, science, English and their school syllabus with us on the same timetable, so “live online school” is nearer the truth.
